Attached is a teaching by David Wilkerson from 1996. He was a prophet WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME. He warned us to prepare us for the tribulation to come.
The scriptures included deal with the “shakings” in our lives that were prophesied by other prophets of God, long, long ago. We all have experienced shakings, and will continue to in the future. The key is to take a good look at the trials in our life, past and present, and learn from them for the future.
What was God trying to remove in us, and how has He strengthened us because of it? Are we resentful, or bitter, because of the pain and inconvenience of circumstances. Or can we see the pearl of wisdom meant to prepare us for the battle ahead; to be healed and whole, with God as our source, and to be warriors instead of wimps!
I am reminded of the rose; beautiful and fragrant, yet undergirded by thorns that can be painful. A reality that we cannot have one without the other.
God is in the business of restoration, but the bigger goal in trials is to get us focused OUTSIDE of ourselves, and toward those that need the light of truth in Jesus. Look upward to The Father for revelation, comfort, and healing, then outward, sharing the hope of that knowledge with the lost and hopeless.
Allow pain to become a perfume that is pleasing to God and others. And make sure your faith is rooted in the firm foundation of Yeshua (Jesus), not circumstances. How will you act under pressure; with fear or faith?
Give yourself an hour to read David Wilkerson’s sermon, so you have time to receive and respond to God’s heart for you.
I’m praying the blessings of peace and assurance, that are under God’s control, with your obedience, to touch each one of you. And during this Passover season, when we ponder the sacrifice of Jesus for our souls, may each of you realize the life-giving grace of His resurrection, and experience the fullness of His Spirit.
10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” (Ephesians 6:10-20)
